If you're feeding an antenna with a transmission line that has a loss of 3dB, what is the maximum VSWR that you will ever see at the transmitter end of the line, even if the antenna "goes away"?

2:1

3:1

4:1

6:1

Answer: 3:1.....line loss of 3dB means return loss of 6dB. 6dB return loss is ~ 3:1 VSWR.
