A high SWR is a thought which is horrifying to many hams. If you have a transmission line going to a load (antenna, etc) and the load has a pretty bad SWR of 2:1, roughly how much power is reflected back into the line? I say 'reflected', not 'lost', because reflected power isn't necessarily lost.
